FAQ | ||
1. What are the benefits of soft water? Why should I get a water softener?
Soft water provides a number of benefits all around the house: In the kitchen
In the Bathroom
Plumbing and appliances
2. How does a water softener work?
A water softener works on the principle of ion exchange. This is a process where positive electrically charged atoms of hardness in water are exchanged for sodium or potassium ions. The exchange occurs when water passes over the surface of special resin beads in the water softener. As the water passes over the surface, the resin bead substitutes sodium or potassium for the hardness ions attached to the bicarbonate in the hard water. Sodium or potassium bicarbonates do not contribute to the hardness of the water, hence the water is considered soft.

6. Why are prices at Randazzo's Water lower than most?
We have the lowest prices of any local, professional water treatment dealer because we are family owned and operated. This means that we do not have a separate sales staff (sales staff = sales commissions = higher prices to the customer).
7. Why are there no prices on your website?
We do not advertise prices because we do not sell anything through this site. Instead this site is designed to provide consumers with information that will help them understand water softening. Water quality varies depending on the geographic region. In order to meet individual needs, water treatment equipment must be sized to the water supply, water consumption and plumbing of the home or business.
